Town
Františkovy Lázně is the smallest spa of the West Bohemian spa triangle. They were founded in 1793 and up to now they maintain the atmosphere of the spa fro the turn of the century. Its charm is given by the unified classical architecture of the spa houses and pavilions. Mild climate, surrounding forests and well-kept parks and orchards, they all support the healing effects of the famous local acidulous water and make the stay of the spa guests and visitors more pleasant.
Treatment
23 healing mineral springs of excellent quality acidulous water, sulphur-ferric peat, and natural springs of hot-spring gas, have been used for the treatment vascular diseases, heart and gynaecological disorders.

Personages, Dates, History:
Kaspar Bruschius discovered the springs near Cheb in 1520-1536.
Georg Agricola, the doctor from Jáchymov, made an analysis of the gas spring.
The curative effects of the springs were confirmed by the analyses in 1565.
MUDr. Adler, the doctor from Cheb initiated the adjustment of the springs in 1785 and in 1791 builds the first spa hall above the Franciscus´s spring. Nine years later the peat treatment begins.
In 1793 Františkovy Lázně have the first spa house.
