Romance and excitement

back to list

Are you of a sporting turn, and are your concepts of the romantic linked to a shared experience of extreme sports? Then during your visit to the Czech Republic you should seek out the many different sporting activities in which your love is further strengthened and flavoured with unexpected experiences.

Parachute jumps, balloon flights, paragliding, bungee-jumping

  • Tandem parachute jumps from 3-4000 metres, free-fall lasting 50-60 seconds, fall with open parachute 5-6 minutes. (www.jump-tandem.cz)

  • Bungee-jumping – the highest leap and rebound (www.bungyjump.szm.com) is from the 55-metre high bridge by the medieval castle of Loket.
  • Jumping from the Zvíkov Reservoir bridge (www.bungee.cz) – in good conditions the instructors even allow contact with the water surface!
  • Tandem flights and paragliding courses (www.pgschool.net, www.scelet.net, www.elspeedo.cz) can easily become a favourite activity.

Climbing, climbing centres

  • The Prague Rope Centre (Pražské lanové centrum) (www.vysokalana.cz) combines rope climbing and water sports. It can be found in the Prague suburb of Vysočany
