Reconstruction has transformed the Skiareál Lipno in the Šumava Mountains into the most modern Czech skiing complex as of December 2008. Three new four-seat chairlifts transport twice as many skiers to both peaks of the Kramolín and Slupečný vrch downhill runs. The new Lipno represents the greatest modernisation leap in the history of Czech skiing.
Unikátní modernizace Skiareálu Lipna, která získala v soutěži TOP INVEST 2008 prestižní ocepenění Nejlepší investice roku 2008 v ČR, nabízí svým návštěvníkům pohodlnou přepravu na třech čtyřsedačkovcýh lanovkách s vysokou přepravní kapacitou a kouzelných pohyblivých kobercích. Pro bezpečné lyžování je k dispozici 6 přehledných sjezdových tratí o celkové délce 7,5 km a snowpark s výukovou a zábavní částí. O sněhovou jistotu na Lipně se spolehlivě postará 40 sněžných kanónů a moderní chladící systém na vodu. Klenotem Skiareálu Lipno je výukové hřiště Foxpark kapitána Lipánka – největší a nejmodernější výukové hřiště v ČR, s kouzelnými koberci, atraktivními slalomy s figurkami, tunely, podjezdy, kolotočem a pravidelnými dětskými zábavnými après ski programy s maskotem lišákem Foxíkem.
Od zimní sezóny 2009-2010 provozovatelé nabízí další novinky a služby, jako např. dětské skipasy pro mládež až do věku 18 let, zmodernizovaný snowpark a větší kapacitu bezplatných parkovacích míst přímo u lanovky. Zásadní novinkou je také nová osm set metrů dlouhá snowcrossová dráha, která je plná nenáročných boulí, zvlněných přejezdů a dalších jednoduchých překážek. Pro rychlejší odbavení lyžařů slouží nový systém bezdotykových čipových karet. Služby jsou rozšířeny také za hranice ČR. Lyžaři mohou ocenit pětidenní kombinovaný skipas, který nabídne tři dny lyžování ve Skiareálu Lipno a dva dny dle výběru ve skiareálech Sternstein a Hochficht v Rakousku.
Přímo u lanovky je pod jednou střechou připraveno cenově výhodné ubytování v apartmánech, velkokapacitní restaurace alpského typu, après ski bary, lyžařská půjčovna, škola a skiservis. V sousedství skiareálu se nachází běžkařský areál se 40 km strojově upravovaných stop. Skiareál Lipno se může pochlubit vysokou lůžkovou kapacitou od rodinných penzionů, po luxusní apartmány a čtyřhvězdičkové hotely, které nabízejí lyžařské pobytové balíčky se zlevněným skipasem až o 50% .
