The three-storey cave system in Koněprusy is the largest in the Czech Republic. On the middle floor were found human skeletal remains from the Early Stone Age, on the upper floor a coiners´ forge was hidden in the 15th century.

These caves as the only ones in the Czech Republic arose in limestone and siliceous dolomites. The walls as well as the ceilings are decorated with stalactites of various shapes and colours. Inside the caves is located the largest underground lake in the Czech Republic.
